Student Bio

Zachary Pitner is a fifth year student of Architectural Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University. He is currently working on his senior thesis and will graduate and will graduate in December 2016, due to health complications, with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering Degree, focusing in structural systems. Zach is planning on taking his FE exam this coming spring so that he will be EIT status eligible upon graduation. He looks forward to working for a structural engineering firm after graduation and plans to pursue his PE license.

 

Zach is involved in various student organizations at Penn State. He is a member of the Penn State chapter of the Student Society of Architectural Engineers and the Structural Engineers Association. He is also actively involved in the Penn State campus of Habitat for Humanity; going on service trips to build homes over his spring breaks since beginning with the group. Recently, he has joined a THON group named Futures, and is actively participating and running for merchandising chair of the group.

 

When not being involved in on campus groups and working towards his BAE, he enjoys playing soccer with different clubs or groups he is a part of. In his spare time, Zach frequently paints and draws, amassing a large collection of art that is always growing.
